The Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS ) Atlas is a quality assurance guide to standardize breast-imaging reporting and to facilitate outcome monitoring. The BI-RADS Atlas is designed to serve as a comprehensive guide providing standarized breast imaging terminology, a report organization, an assessment structure and a classification system for mammography, ultrasound and MRI of the breast. The BI-RADS Atlas also includes the latest revisions to the assessment categories, expanded definitions to lexicon terminology, and statistical definitions for the performance of a mammography audit.

The BI-RADS Atlas includes the fourth edition of the mammography lexicon and audit system and the first editions of the ultrasound and MRI lexicons for breast imaging. Richly illustrated with images from all three modalities, the atlas also provides radiologists guidance on the use of BI-RADS through the use of illustrated cases, sample reports, statistical definitions and explanations for performing the mammography audit.
